Sea Country Painting Pad

Handmade earth pigments inspired by tides, moon cycles, and women’s Country.

This painting pad honours Sea Country—the gathering places, the shifting tides, the shell middens and moonlight rhythms of saltwater life. It is a tribute to women’s Country, to the act of harvesting with care, to the ancient knowledge held in sea creatures and shorelines.

Each page is a slow tide of remembering. A return. A rebirth.

What’s Included:

  • 10 pages total, including:

    • 1 x finished artwork example

    • 1 x welcome page connecting Sea Country, the moon, and the rhythm of gathering

    • 8 x outlined artworks featuring:

      • Shells / Rina

      • Australian Fur Seal / Naweetya

      • Stingray / Larner

      • Humpback Whale

      • Crayfish

      • Seahorse

      • Penguin / Tomenyenna

      • Muttonbird / Yula

  • Earth pigment palette included at the back—colours drawn from sand, shell, ocean stone, seaweed greens, and saltwater blues.

Paper & Format:

  • Size: 5 x 7 inches

  • Paper: 216gsm Mohawk Via Felt Bright White (artist-grade watercolour paper)

  • Format: Gummed Note Pad - Easy Tear Out Pages

What You’ll Feel:

This pad calls you to the shore—where tides pull memory in and out, where shells are stories, and every ripple speaks of change. Sea Country is where women gather, where food is prepared with song, where the moon rises and falls in rhythm with the body and the land.

Let the brush follow the tide. Let the pigment hold the breath of waves and the softness of salt.

Who It’s For:

  • Ocean lovers and moon followers

  • Artists seeking connection to cycles, flow, and sacred gathering

  • Mindful creatives, beginners to advanced

  • Retreats, wellness circles, gift-giving, and personal ritual

Acknowledgement of Country

This is Palawa Country. It always was, and always will be.

We pay respect to the Punnerlerpanna people, the creators of these northern shores, the great fishing culture of the north whose Country we live in. Though they did not survive colonisation, their presence is felt in the land, in the tides, in the stories that still echo here.

We honour our Palawa community past and present across Trouwerner/Lutruwita (Tasmania) and beyond, those who have carried knowledge forward, protected Country, and upheld the responsibilities passed down through generations.

To know this land is to know its true custodians.
